Accutron The late 1950s, saw one of watchmaking's
great advances when Accutron launched a fully electronic watch that measured time with an
oscillating tuning fork. Constructed of solid stainless steel with a scratch-resistant,
hardened-mineral crystal and 23-karat gold finishes. Water resistance to at least 100 feet
(30 meters). Hand-crafted in Switzerland.
Breitling L. Breitling and his son, Gaston Bretling, developed the first wrist chronograph. Breitling watches are available in steel, precious metals, or titanium, with a variety of dial treatments, straps and bracelets.
Bulova In 1875, 23-year-old Czech immigrant Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City. Bulova introduced the first full lines of men's and ladies' wristwatches. Bulova's timer mechanism has been an integral feature of NASA technology from the late 1950s through the first moon walk in 1969. U.S. owned and operated.
Citizen Founded in 1918. Citizen introduced the worlds first analog quartz watch to use sunlight as its primary power source. In 1996 the Citizen Eco-Drive collection made its debut. The Eco-Drive converts light into energy which is stored in a continuously recharging second battery that lasts the life of the watch. The Eco-Drive never needs a new battery.
Ebel Established in 1911 in La Chaux-de-Fords, Switzerland. The Classic collection is marked by strong and elegant, yet contemporary style. Within the Classic collection, the Sport Classics fluid pattern design transcends time and place. In the 1911 watches, there is a perfect alliance of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary style.
ESQ is a member of the Movado Group, which includes Movado, Vizio, Concord, and Coach. Esquire watches have Swiss quartz movements, and are protected by scratch resistant synthetic sapphire or mineral crystals. The dress watches are plated in 23 karat gold. Some of the stainless steel sport models feature textured dials, applied markers, and luminous hands.
Fendi Eduardo Fendi first opened shop in 1925 and became a well known Italian fashion dynasty, known primarily for furs, clothing accessories, and perfumes. Fendi has been offering watches since the late 1980s. The Zucca collection was the first to bring attention to Fendi's timepieces. Fendi watches have ETA Swiss movements and are water resistant to 100 feet. The gold-tone cases have a minimum 10 micron 18-karat-gold plating.
Gucci In 1920 Gucci opened a shop in Florence featuring his fine leather goods accessories for men and women. By the late 1960s Gucci had stores in New York, London, Palm Beach, Paris, Beverly Hills and Tokyo. The G Series collection feature stainless steel construction, scratch-resistant hard metal bezels in the G design, sapphire crystals and a variety of dial colors. Available in link bracelet with push-button double fold clasps or black patent leather strap, the G Series is offered in men's, women's and junior sizes.
Hamilton Founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Originally manufactured as a railroad pocket watch, it became the official watch of the American Expeditionary Forces worldwide. A wrist watch version of the railroad watch was issued to General Pershing's soldiers in WWI. Today, the Hamilton collections include the American Classics collection and the Khaki collection - an updated version of the military watches.
Longines Began when Auguste Agassiz opened a small workshop in St. Imier in 1832. The Longines trademark was first registered in May of 1889. With the increasing demand for accurate instruments to record sporting events, Longines created a pocket chronograph, which allowed 1/10th and 1/100th intervals to be recorded. Since 1952, Longines has been responsible for the timing of nearly all of the Olympic Games. Longines was honored with the award of the IR 100, the equivalent of the Nobel Prize for technology in the United States, for the creation of a watch with a liquid crystal display.
