The Sigma SA-7 35mm SLR Camera
The
Sigma SA-7 is a single-lens reflex AF camera. The rugged, lightweight, and
ultra-compact body features abundant functions for taking beautiful
pictures. As a noted lens maker, Sigma developed the SA-7 with the user in
mind. The SA-7 is a full-fledged, single-lens reflex camera that is
versatile and easy to use. From beginners to photo enthusiasts, the Sigma
SA-7 satisfies the photographic needs of people who enjoy taking pictures.
Focusing is as easy as positioning the subject in the center of the
viewfinder. The AF cross-sensor takes care of the rest. You need only
center the subject in the viewfinder and press the shutter button, and
then the camera automatically adjusts focus. Your pictures will never be
out-of-focus.
Motion Prediction Function
The subject you want to photograph may not always be stationary. The SA-7's
autofocus system features a motion prediction function that lets you capture a
moving subject in sharp focus. This function predicts the movement of subjects,
such as people or vehicles, moving towards or away from you at near constant
speed. It calculates the time required for the shutter to open after the shutter
button is pressed, and automatically adjusts the focus at the point where the
subject will be located when the shutter opens. This ensures optimum focus when
taking pictures of a moving subject.
Internal Hypersonic Motor
A motor suitable for each lens drives focusing operation. Use of Sigma lenses
equipped with a hypersonic motor (HSM) ensures high-speed focusing with minimal
operating sound.
Easy-To-Use Command Dial
The Command Dial is near the shutter button. You need only move your finger
slightly to operate the dial. When Program Auto mode is used, turning the
Command dial temporarily activates aperture-priority auto mode. Since the
aperture value can be selected manually, you can capture an image as you like
(the camera will adjust the shutter speed to maintain constant exposure). The
Command dial also allows the setting of various functions when used in
conjunction with other dials or function buttons.
Built-In Flash
When flash is required for indoor shooting due to insufficient light, the flash
indicator in the viewfinder flashes. When the pop-up flash is used, the camera
automatically adjusts the amount of light emitted.
When a picture is taken with a light source behind the subject, the subject
appears dark. Using the flash eliminates this problem. The flash light reduces
the difference in light intensity between the subject and background so that
people are properly exposed in a photo without over exposing the background.
Self-Timer
The self-timer is convenient for taking pictures of your family or friends. The
self-timer activates the shutter ten seconds after the shutter button is
pressed, thus allowing sufficient time for the photographer to join the group
and pose. It allows everyone to be in photos taken on a group trip, and it is an
essential function for taking family photos at special occasions.
