Resolution Super CCD
The Fuji FinePix 4900 digital camera incorporates a high-performance 2.4 million
pixel Super CCD that is capable of producing image file sizes of up to 4.3
million pixels (2,400 x 1,800 pixels). In addition to the wider dynamic range
and high S/N ratio, the Super CCD achieves high sensitivity, allowing for a
change in the ISO setting from ISO 125- to 800-equivalent.
High Performance Zoom Lens
The FinePix 4900 Zoom uses a newly developed large diameter 6x Super EBC Fujinon
lens with a focal distance equivalent to that of a 35-210mm lens of a 35mm
camera. The large aperture of this professional-quality, high-precision lens
delivers outstanding detail and clarity with an f-number that changes only a
little between f/2.8 - f/3.1. The zoom lens also features a built-in,
five-blade, round diaphragm mechanism with 13 f-stops, which offers a wide
variety of manual shooting possibilities.
Smooth Digital Zooming
Combined with the 6x optical zoom, FinePix 4900's total magnification effect
extends up to 22.5x (equivalent to 790mm in 640 x 480 pixel mode). Even in the
1280 x 960 pixel mode, zooming is possible up to 1.875x When used with the 6x
optical zoom, the camera's total magnification effect is increased to
approximately 11.25x (equivalent to 390mm).
Versatile Exposure Settings
The FinePix 4900 allows a whole range of versatile exposure settings that are
available in conventional SLR cameras, such as Auto, Scene Select, Programmed
AE, Aperture priority AE, Shutter speed priority AE and Manual setting.
Continuous Shooting
It is possible to take five successive pictures at a rate of 5 frames per
second. Three-frame auto-bracketing may also be carried out.
Futuristic Design
In addition to its high-quality magnesium alloy body, the FinePix 4900 Zoom
camera sports an ergonomic design with its allocation of operational buttons.
Electronic Viewfinder
Utilization of an electronic viewfinder provides functions that are not possible
with optical viewfinders, such as the display of technical information for each
shot, and use of the "Picture-in-Picture" zooming function for
checking focus.
Motion Picture Recording
It is capable of capturing a maximum of 160 seconds of moving images with a
still image creation function.
Playback Zoom
The playback zoom features up to a maximum of 15x enlargements.

The Fuji FinePix 4900 features Fujifilm’s new Super CCD and PxGA color image
processing technology which captures and faithfully reproduces more color than
the conventional “MegaPixel” CCD’s found in most other digital cameras.
Its versatility includes: manual focus, aperture or shutter priority, multiple
ISO’s (125, 200, 400, 800), hot shoe mount and an electronic mini LCD
through-the-lens (TTL) viewfinder plus a 2 in. LCD monitor.
