Agfa CL30 ePhoto Digital Camera
The CL30 camera doesn't come with an optical zoom, but the 2x digital zoom can make up for it in certain situations. This camera's interface is relatively easy to figure out with the aid of the manual. The selection wheel is a bit hard to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to make menu selections. Resolution on the CL30 ranges from 1,440 x 1,080 (interpolated) to 640 x 480. The camera uses removable, expandable CompactFlash memory cards; it comes with a 4 MB card, and you can buy cards up to 32 MB. The CL30 uses four AA batteries, but like all digital cameras, it drains power rapidly, so consider investing in a set of rechargeable batteries. We found it very easy to use the CL30 and connect it to a PC. While the Agfa CL30 ePhoto digital camera not as compact as some of the traditional point-and-shoots, it's still relatively small and lightweight. Picture quality is good, and the range of compression and resolution suits most needs--although if you need high-grade, professional-quality results, we recommend you choose a camera with a higher natural resolution. (The 1,440 x 1,080 resolution the CL30 boasts is with interpolating technology, not actual pixel resolution). |
